1. Oh yanno.... just standing here chillin' with my bro's while we fill up on plums...
2. Party time! We celebrated our baby's first birthday with loads of family, friends and amazing food.
3. Nothing like filling your plates with bounty from the sea and bounty from your garden to make life feel grand.

5. I cannot get enough of these blooms... they fill every available vessel in my home right now

~ THIS WEEK {LAUGHTER, TEARS AND AIRPORTS} ~

1. Daphne in full bloom. I just don't tire of this flower.... it's in every room of our home.

2. G&T's with my sister in law after the best surprise EVER visit all the way over from Aussie... joining all the rest of Tim's family who were home for a visit. A rare time of togetherness with no one missing.

3. Heartbreaking farewells

4. Gorgeous new boots - Finally!!

5. This little guy is desperate to stand up!! Noooooooo

6. Tree lined entrance to our neighbouring city.. a gloomy day to match our gloomy mood as we drove to the airport to farewell our family making their way back to their respective countries.

7. We sat atop the bluff after an emotional time at the airport. Eating pizza in the car and we calmed as we watched the ocean

Although so sad having to say goodbye I am at the same time so so happy as my mama arrives back in the country tonight after travelling for the last four months.

A fragrant obsession

  I am mildly obsessed with flowers.

If I don't have any in the house it all feels a bit bare.

a bit sad.

The very best thing about winter is my daphne bush.

Beautiful fragrant flowers fill my home with an intoxicating fragrance that no 

summer flower can ever replicate.

 In a word

Divine.

Weekly Stills

1.  Anemones. Enjoying jars full of my favourite flower all through the house as they have their brief but glorious moment in our garden.
2. Waterfall. We had the most wonderful Easter weekend with dear friends... a highlight was walking a beautiful bush walk that ended in....
3... another bigger gorgeous waterfall which our eldest son proceeded to jump off!! Lucky for him he had asked his dad and not me for permission!
4. Finn taking some much needed time out for a quiet read in everyone's favourite sunny reading spot.
5. Chocolate chip oatie cookies... Mmmmmm!

Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend... so nice to still have such summery weather to make it extra enjoyable!

Our Place

My best friend is a florist... I know right! How lucky am I!!! Especially when we go to the flower market together and I pick up a few blooms super cheap... she did the most fantastic arrangement for our front entrance..  Thanks Jaqui.. Love you!!
